You need to get it off your chest without being in danger of revealing it to people who are not trustworthy. If you need to stay alone with a key-person who has recently entered your life, start saying goodbye to familiar faces and situations. You are ready to leave the stage you move in and enter a new place. It does not mean that you must carry along elements that some people take for granted.
